Photographing Ornaments

Today I spent about 2 hours unpacking and re-photographing my ornaments. I have tried many ways to photograph them. I found that there is a great setting on my new Nikon Coolpix digital camera for close up shots. I choose the macro or close up shot and turn off the flash. Since it was a very bright but snowy and overcast day, the lighting was perfect. No flare or glare on the ornaments. I placed each ornament on a bed of white tulle. Unfortunately, the battery on the camera went low just as the light outdoors did. I will try again tomorrow.
